Organic Farming of Mountanos Vineyards

To be certified organic you must be inspected each year.

There are several governing agencies for organic registration.

We are registered with CCOF, California Certified Organic Farmers.

Before being certified organic you must wait 3 years from the date of the last non-certified organic pesticide application. If nothing has been sprayed you are immediately certified upon inspection.

Upon inspection the inspector checks that you do not spray non-certified organic pesticides, checks that you maintain 25 feet buffer zone where non-certified pesticides are sprayed, storage of non-certified pesticides are not stored next to certified pesticides, he also checks your harvest records to clarify organic toneage.
